ALTHOUGH some of the complaints may be justified, I am tired of reading about the failings of the National Health Service and feel I must record the other side of the story.
Recently I had the misfortune to suffer a heart attack. I was rushed into the accident and emergency department at Blackburn Royal Infirmary and subsequently transferred to the coronary care unit and then to an acute medical ward (D3, Queen's Park Hospital).
I am now at home convalescing and feel that I must record my thanks to all those involved in my care.
I would extend my grateful thanks not only to all the medical and nursing personnel, but also to the ancillary staff, to whom I shall be forever grateful.
