A NEW dance school is preparing to entertain friends and family with its first-ever show.
The Dance Factory in Blackburn, run by former TV, West End and cruise ship dancer Joy Wareing, has only been running for nine months but already the 50 pupils have put together an hour-long show.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Red Brick Theatre and Joy is hoping to sell all of the 450 tickets.
She said: "The show includes everything from classical ballet, tap, song and dance, to the new funky jazz routines you see pop stars like Britney Spears and Janet Jackson doing so well.
"The school is new, but we wanted to do our bit for the Red Brick Theatre Appeal."
There are still tickets available for the event on July 9 and 10, at 7.15pm at St Mary's College, Blackburn.
They are available on the door and are priced £2.50 for adults and £1.50 for children under 12 and senior citizens.
