LUCKY lottery winner Brenda Wainwright was travelling to Liverpool in a stretch limo today - to collect £50,000!
Brenda, of Manxman Road, Blackburn, scooped the prize on a National Lottery Cash Doubler scratchcard on Friday.
Brenda, a grandma who works for the local education authority as a bus driver for children with special needs, matched three £50,000 symbols on her last day at her second job at the newsagent's in Manxman Road.
She explained: "It was quiet so I thought I'd get a couple of scratchcards. I bought two and won £2 so I bought another two and won £5. Then I got a couple more and won £1 and I thought: 'Go on, just one more'."
"I scratched two £50,000 signs off and one that I thought was £5,000, but when I looked again I realised that was a £50,000 too!"
Brenda, who has four grown up children and lives with her husband Peter, said the win couldn't have come at a better time as her 31-year-old son Paul recovers from pneumonia in Blackburn's Queen's Park Hospital.
