HAVING lost out time and again to bids from other areas for Lottery cash to improve East Lancashire's sports facilities, leisure bosses from the region's six councils got together to show the fund's chief executive how much we are missing out.
It's a move which we hope pays off - with jackpot grants.
But, once again, it is welcome recognition of the need for united action for our area.
A combined voice for the "city" of East Lancashire speaks louder and more powerfully than several smaller ones.
