FISHER More High School maintained a proud tradition when they took the Pendle Schools' Athletics Championships - for the sixth year running.
In a finely contested track and field event over two days at the Seedhill track, they amassed a total of 801 points, beating nearest rivals Park High School into second place, who totalled 732 points.
Fisher More's record in winning the Junior Girls, Inter Boys and Overall Boys sections, showed the strength in depth of the line-up.
Year 8 Fisher More student Kate Franzke, who lives in Salterforth, broke the junior girls' discus record with a throw of 23.29 metres.
One consolation for Park High was the performance of Kirk Lee who smashed two records in the Inter Boys 400 and 800 metres.
