BREWERS Jennings - which has launched a bid to acquire a Lancashire based pub operator - has announced a profits jump.
The Lake District based group saw pre-tax profits rise by more than eight per cent to £539,000 in the six months to March 28. Turnover increased by 5.9 per cent to £9,470,000.
The firm has announced a recommended share offer for Chorley-based Cafe Inns worth around £15.5 million.
Cafe Inns runs pubs, restaurants and coffee bars across the North West including the Burlington chain.
