WITH respect to Mrs June Shorrock (Letters, June 17), I was commenting on an overall view of Petticoat Lane, Darwen and pointing out that the majority of stalls had on display the remnants of a car boot sale.
Perhaps, misguidedly, I thought that Petticoat Lane was supposed to provide entertainment and the sale of reasonable goods at reasonable prices.
Again with respect, if being a Darrener means that you have to look at Petticoat Lane through rose-coloured spectacles I would rather have been born in Blackburn.
ROY P DAVIES, Olive Lane, Darwen.
