GLAZEBURY CC have opened a massive 30-point gap at the top of the NorthWest Counties League Second Division.
They underlined their superiority with an emphatic win against Eccleston.
Peter Calvert led the way to a 225-7 total with a top-score 60 before the team declared with 41 overs bowled.
Opener Graham Harrop was not far behind with 54 while skipper Gareth Banks weighed in with an unbeaten half-century from 36 balls.
The total was always way beyond Eccleston's reach and they were tumbled out for 48, Stuart Caller taking 6-24 and Jon Gibbons 2-16.
Glazebury 2nd also romped in against Eccleston. They declared at 183-4 after 43 overs with skipper Graham Greensmith hitting an unbeaten 58 while Roger Davenport offered good support with an unbeaten 38. Sean Caine then took the opposition apart with a career-best return of 8-45 as, after some resistance, they fell at 109.
The U13s beat Morley Hall by nine wickets. Chasing 102-5, they coasted in at 104-1 with unbeaten efforts from Neil Jones 63 and Dean Standish 21.
The U11s went down by one run at Wigan, Ryan Warhurst, Sam Stanier and Andrew Calvert each taking two wickets.
