AS happy students prepare to graduate next week, Lancaster University bosses are turning their attention to those who are not so lucky.
The national symposium on "Failing students" takes place on July 15-16 and examines reasons why a growing number of students are dropping out of Higher Education or failing exams and being forced to leave.
The event, organised by the University's Counselling Service and the Bailrigg Higher Education Development Centre will take a look at increasing academic and financial pressures. Meanwhile, university chiefs are struggling under new pressures to produce fair exam results, especially at this time of year.
