WINDLE City returned in devastating style after a two- week break in the St Helens Rounders League.
They took three games from three, resulting in them remaining top of Division one, still in the Show Cup and semi-finalists in the Emily Collins Cup. Their first victims were Burtonwood who they defeated 14-6 score. Windle's rounders came from Lynn Filson, Jackie Atherton and Jackie Hudson Burtonwood's Nikki Robinson also had a good game. Against United Gladiators, whose only rounder came from Jackie Kenny, Windle's scorers were Jackie Hudson, Marion Wharton and Denise Cotham who all scored 2. Finally Windle took on Haydock, who had their own stars in Janette and Claire Toole, and Julie and Kelly Nolan, but Windle took the points with a 14-4 score.
It was derby day at Ruskin Drive with Pilkington Spartans taking on Pilkington Vikings, the former winning with one innings.
