NORTH Manchester law firm, Latimer Lee is expanding its Bury office to cope with the increasing demand for their legal services by private and business clients.
The firm, which has been established for more than 40 years, has refurbished its premises in Silver Street.
Latimer Lee already provides a comprehensive legal service to clients through its offices at Prestwich, Bury, Bolton and Heywood and is now strengthening its premises in Bury in response to client demand.
Partner Patricia Latimer specialises in conveyancing, wills and probate, while Rosemary O'Farrell and Susan Regan are family law solicitors who specialise in matrimonial and child law issues. Marjorie Crossley, the firm's welfare rights adviser, runs a free no-appointment advice clinic at Bury each Tuesday, advising and assisting on all welfare benefit matters, housing and debt.
Rosemary, who heads Latimer Lee's family law department, is a member of The Law Society's Children's Panel and one of the first solicitors in Bury to be accredited to act in public law children's proceedings.
She is a member of the Solicitors Family Law Association and a subscriber to its code of conduct and a member of Child Concern, a multi-disciplinary professional body for child law issues for the North West.
Rosemary was also involved in establishing three child contact centres in the North West, providing venues for contact between child and the separated parent, and she is an associate member of the National Association of Child Contact Centres, whose motto is "bridging the break-up".
