ONE man was thrown out of a car and another cut free by firefighters after the vehicle hit a wall and overturned on a country road outside Earby.
Driver Christopher Greenwood, 23, of Barnwood Road, Earby, was released from the Volkswagen Golf GTi which crashed on Stoneybank Road early on Saturday.
He was taken to Burnley General Hospital for surgery, suffering from elbow and rib injuries and a torn liver.
His condition today was "stable but poorly".
Passenger Stuart Morrison, of Wentcliffe Drive, Earby, was taken by ambulance to Airedale General Hospital and released yesterday.
The Lancashire county police helicopter scoured the area around Stoneybank Road searching for any other passengers who might have been thrown out of the vehicle.
Four fire engines and two ambulances were also called to the scene.
A fire brigade spokesman said it was understood the vehicle hit a fog patch and the driver lost control on a bend, hitting the dry stone wall.
