WE have all this talk about cancellation of Third World countries' debts, with even an East Lancashire vicar joining the protests at the world economic summit in Germany (LET, June 19).
Now, we read that President Mugabe, of Zimbabwe, is to build a £500,000 house while his people suffer bread shortages and price rises.
This is one of the reasons for the non-payment of debts and interest. And we read of other foreign dictators salting money away in Switzerland.
