THE hiss of steam was heard in Blackburn as the town's railway station returned briefly to a golden age of travel.

Scores of enthusiasts turned out to watch 'Bahamas', a recently restored Jubilee class loco in original British Railways green livery, pull in for a brief stop as it hauled the Cumbrian Coast Express from Manchester to Sellafield.
