AFTER reading the reply from Roy Davies (Letters, July 1), regarding my condemnation of his degrading comments about Darwen's Petticoat Lane Market, it would appear that I have rattled his cage somewhat.
His half-hearted attempt at an apology seems to stem from the mysterious addition of the word 'majority' which did not appear in his first article. However, Mr Davies, apology accepted.
Regarding my "looking at Petticoat Lane through rose-coloured spectacles," my philosophy in life is "look on the bright side" so, my thanks go to the hundreds of people who supported the voluntary organisations' stalls.
