OUR three teams in the Vimto Bolton Association hit the headlines over the weekend.
Golborne went top, Atherton hit the day's biggest score, Astley & Tyldesley won!!!
A&T restricted Litle Hulton to 115, David Hughes taking 4-24; in reply they reached 119-8 with pro Scott Henderson unbeaten on 44 for a two-wicket win.
Sadly they remain anchored at the bottom.
Atherton rattled up the day's top score at 266-5, but it failed to give them victory over a stubborn Daisy Hill.
Philip West looked to be heading for a century, only to be caught on the boundary after he had hit 97, while pro Andy Hall also went close at 92.
But Daisy Hill held out at 140-9, despite Ian Nuttall's 4-31.
Golborne went top following Elton's defeat by Clifton.
Golborne beat Edgworth by five wickets with Paul Robinson unbeaten on 56.
Edgworth reached 133-9, with Dave Roberts taking 3-27 and Chris Benbow 3-35. Golborne then rattled off the runs at 135-5.
