TWO media students from Wigan and Leigh College are shooting to the top.
Donna Gidman and Scott Bolton have had their "drugs" video selected for the prestigious Co-operative Young Film Makers' Festival.
Their moving drama "A Life Cut Short", set to music by HND music students, about the effects of drugs, was selected from 230 entries.
It will be screened at the newly-refurbished Bradford National Museum of Photography, Film and Television in front of schools and colleges from all over Britain in October.
Former Golborne High student Scott, who lives in Golborne, has been accepted on the Higher National Diploma Media Production course at Salford University.
Donna, a former Smithills pupil, has just completed her course with an overall distinction, and will now study for a media studies degree at University College, Warrington.
Last year a student on the Leigh-based college course picked up three awards at the festival, and Scott and Donna are hoping for similar success.
