DO YOU know anyone who has had a stroke or who cares for someone whose life has-been turned upside down by the devastating effects of a stroke?
Nominations are now being taken for The Stroke Association's Cornhill Life After Stroke Centenary Awards. The awards are held each year and recognise the extraordinary courage that has been shown by people of all ages who have had a stroke, and also those who care for them.
There are seven categories, including an award for carers, an art award, and one for children who have had a stroke. All those nominated receive a certificate of recognition, and the winners of each category will attend the awards ceremony lunch in Birmingham on November 3, which will be supported by a host of celebrities.
The closing date for nominations is Saturday July 31 and the nomination forms are available from The Stroke Association's Northampton Resource Centre on 01604 623934 or 623935.
