AN independent Christian school is going great guns with plans for a Wild West day to help raise £750,000 for new premises.
The Emmanuel Christian School, currently based at Singleton Hall, near Poulton, needs the cash to buy land for a purpose-built school by the end of next year.
The Western theme day, on July 17 in the hall's grounds in Lodge Lane, Singleton, starts at 3.30pm and includes a Western village stage set, a shoot-out at the OK Corrall, cowboys on horseback and a country and western disco.
There will be a barbecue at 5pm, a country singer at 6pm and line-dancing from 7pm until 10pm.
Tickets are £2 for adults, £1 for children and OAPs, or £5 for a family ticket - call (01253) 776793 for more details.
The school, founded at Fleetwood's Emmanuel Church, currently teaches around 100 pupils aged four to 16 from all denominations, emphasising Christian family values.
