I SEE that flats are being built on the old Eastwood shop site on Mather Lane bridge, Leigh.
The last time there was occupied property on that site, I was in my own workshop in Brooklands Mill and because of the inconsiderate parking, by the then occupants, it was a hazard going over the bridge towards Chapel Street.
The Leigh bound traffic was having to overtake cars practically parked a matter of yards from the top of the bridge and really going over the bridge on the right hand side of the road. This obviously created hazards and I did mention it to a mounted police officer who said: "Have you knocked on the door and told them".
So perhaps before we have more problems our highways department could look at double yellow lines on this length of road.
