KNUZDEN Youth Under 19s are about to compete in the Manchester Umbro International Football Festival for the second time.
This year's competition has attracted over 400 teams from all over the world and is without doubt the biggest in the UK. Knuzden expect to play teams from Taiwan, America, Sweden and Norway and will hope to go better than the last time, when despite only taking 11 players, they reached the quarter-finals.
Knuzden's squad is: John Dassu (captain), Paul Gouldthorpe, David Miller, John Gannon, Shaun Berry, David Pickering, Anthony Bamber, Mick Turner, Danny Bury, Paul Sconce, Mark Gardner, Jordan, Heseltine, Martin Whittaker, Kevin Abbott and Lee Taylor.
Many of these boys have played together since they were 10 years old and are looking forward to giving a good account of themselves.
