SPEEDING bikers who dice with death were targeted in a second police crackdown in the Ribble Valley.
Traffic police set up speed traps on popular routes in the area and an information stand in Gisburn yesterday..
As well as catching speeding bikers the police also handed advice and leaflets on the dangers of reckless driving.
Officers who organised the day long Operation Solo have also revealed similar crackdowns are planned for the near future.
Last month a similar operation netted almost 40 speeding bikers on the county's rural roads during one day when they held a similar operation.
And one of the riders was caught travelling at more than 130 miles per hour.
More than 30 bikers were killed in Lancashire in 1998 and police are desperate to improve on the appalling record.
Many accidents take place on rural roads and holiday routes popular with bikers particularly at weekends.
Sergeant Stuart Isherwood of Accrington's road safety unit said: "There is a lot of concern about the growing number of motor cyclists speeding on the county's roads.
"We have already had similar operations and more are planned for the near future. These people are not only putting their own lives at risk but endangering the lives of other road users."
