PLANS to demolish a derelict bridge caused protests from a nearby estate.
Residents said it was a main access, although it had been closed to traffic for more than a year. Andrew Donelan Wipers Ltd wanted to demolish Ashton Road bridge in Darwen.
The company hoped to reinstate the land for industrial use, Blackburn planning and highways committee were to be told.
