FUND-RAISING footballers kicked off to raise money for two local charities.
This is the third year running Accrington Clarets have organised a charity five-a-side football tournament.
Supporters cheered on the 16 teams in the competition which was won by a team of Manchester United fans called "40 Seconds To Go" in reference to United's last gasp winning goals in the European Cup Final.
The event, at Peel Park School Fields, has raised about £2,500 over the last two years and it is hoped Saturday's matches helped to raise another £1,000 for Accrington Institute for the Blind, and the local Path charity.
