FIRMS in East Lancashire are urged to go green and save money.
An initiative is offering a team of specialists to go into companies and show them how they can save money, become more efficient and stay on the right side of new environmental legislation.
The Eco-Business Programme, financed by Lancashire County Council and European cash, is managed by Nelson-based Northern Technologies and Enterprise Business Solutions.
"At a time when many businesses are under pressure, environmental considerations may be the last thing company owners and managers may want to think about," said council leader Frank McKenna.
"But our experience has proved that being environmentally friendly can save many thousands of pounds."
Companies interested in taking advantage of the subsidised service can contact John Binns at Northern Technologies on 01282 724200, or Jenni Grocott or John Hunt at Enterprise Business Solutions, 01254 385522.
