AN international athlete with a learning disability is looking for help to represent his country at the highest level.

Richard Robb, 31, is in training for the World Athletics Championships in Seville, Spain in September.

He and his 27 fellow athletes and nine coaching and support staff need to raise £850 each to make the trip.

Richard, from Withnell, is head server at Blackburn Cathedral.

He competes in the 880m, 1500m and 4 x 400m relay in the England athletics squad and in mainstream athletics for Blackburn Harriers and has represented the North West in race meetings in Brittany.

If anybody can help Richard and would like to make a donation they should contact the English Sports Association for People with Learning Disability on 01924 267555.
