AN artist who studied at the prestigious Royal Academy is to exhibit her work at Towneley Hall, Burnley.
Joanne Taylor Wilson, of Beechwood Avenue, Clitheroe, studied art history and fine art at Edinburgh University, before attending the Royal Academy in London.
She has been awarded several leading scholarships, including the Helen Rose Bequest Travelling Scholarship, the Sir David Murray landscape painting scholarshp and the Elizabeth Greenshield International Scholarship.
The Clitheroe mum has exhibited her still-life, landscape and figure paintings in oils, gouache and watercolours at the Royal Academy, the Royal Scottish Academy, the Royal Society of British Artists and the New English Art Club.
She is a member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Art and helps her husband Ian Wilson with his architectural practice.
The Towneley Hall exhibition, which runs until September 5, is devoted to flowers in several media, including oil, watercolour and pencil.
Towneley Hall is open from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and noon to 5pm on Sundays
