MOTOR mad Glyn Dawson planned to be an arresting sight at the Hoghton Tower Classic Car Show - as he was driving a 1965 police car. Glyn, 43, bought the Mark III Ford Zephyr, formerly owned by the boys in blue at Merseyside, for £160 from a scrap yard. But six years of hard work at his home in Phillips Lane, Colne, had restored it to its former glory.
Glyn had insured the car for £4,000, and said he preferred to just use it for shows.
