SWAN at Whalley runs at Doncaster tomorrow and, if he goes into the stalls, he must have a big chance.
He is in excellent condition and hopefully tomorrow they will take him down to the start early and load him up before the other horses go round the back of the starting stalls.
He is a course and distance winner at Doncaster so my money will be on each-way.
Saffizz has recovered well after his operation last Wednesday and is enjoying a holiday in the paddock for three weeks, then he will have a minor race before his main objective, the £200,000 Doncaster St Leger Sales Stakes on September 8.
In the 2.20pm at Catterick tomorrow Sir Mark Prescott should take the race with Courting, but the nap of the day must go to David Nicholls' Sihafi, who ran a good race at Haydock on Sunday.
Tomorrow night's meeting at Doncaster should be a good night's racing with a good card. Henry Cecil should win the 8.30 with Azouz Pasha.
On Thursday Jack Berry sends a strong team all the way to Bath for the Racing Channel Race day. Angie Baby could give a good account of herself in the 4pm and Cartmel Park will go close. On Friday at Sandown Alex Greaves, our top lady rider, should win the Showcase sprint at 6.30 with either Cryhavoc or Royal Result. Memorise will take all the beating in the 7pm at Newmarket friday evening.
I will give you Saturday's selections in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph on Friday and hope we can be in the form of last weekend when on Friday I gave Kingsclere 5-4 (Nap) for Saturday and Dramatic Quest 4-1 (each way) and Sunday our only runner Distinctive Dream 11-4 gave us a profitable weekend.
Have a good week.
