PETER Billington's long and angry remarks (Letters, July 9) ran to 15 paragraphs and covered a number of aspects of the recent military action in Kosovo.
Nowhere does he mention the Kosovar Albanians, the long years of discrimination that they have suffered at the hands of the Yugoslav authorities or the policy of ethnic cleansing embarked upon by President Milosevic and his henchmen.
Mr Billington accused the government and others of "selective respect for human rights." Does he want to tell us why his concern for human rights does not include state-sponsored racism, torture and murder when it is carried out by the government of Serbia.
