A COAST-to-coast classic car rally will tour some of Lancashire's most beautiful scenery on August 7.
The Lancashire Automobile Club is organising the seventh annual 190 mile tour from Blackpool, passing through the Ribble Valley, the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales to Scarborough.
Last year, about 80 cars, including a 1929 Rolls Royce, attempted the eight hour tour and organisers are hoping 100 will take part this year.
Ronn Middleton, deputy clerk, said: "It's a beautiful run. A few steep hills are included to sort out the men from the boys and, of course, the ladies from the girls, all adding to the challenge. There will be no strict time keeping but a time allowance will be given to complete the route and finishers will get special rally plates."
