THE Jennings Ribblesdale League are set to take disciplinary action against Baxenden batsman Mark Rishton after he turned up for their game against Barnoldswick on Saturday 'under the influence of alcohol'.
League secretary Rod Slater confirmed he has received a letter from the club confirming their suspension of the player for two matches following his behaviour. And League officials are now awaiting reports off the umpires before deciding what steps to take next.
"I've received a letter from Baxenden Cricket Club informing me of what action they've taken and now we are waiting for a report off the umpires," said Slater.
"But I anticipate the League will be looking at it."
