FOOTBALL fan Jean Britcliffe has no doubt that Blackburn Rovers can bounce back into the the Premiership - so she's already booked a social club for an end-of-season promotion party.

Jean, 58, of Bridge Street, Rishton, also believes Brian Kidd's men can smash Sunderland's record Division One score of 105 points next season.

She has already booked the United Social Club in Great Harwood for Saturday, May 20 - three weeks after Rovers' final game at home to Manchester City.

Burnley fans held Rovers relegation parties when Blackburn went down - but Jean's bash will be open only to Rovers supporters wearing blue and white.

Jean, a care assistant at Townfield House Residential Home, Great Harwood, has supported Rovers for the last 40 years, and got her late husband Bert into following the side. But her son Graham won't be at the bash - he's a Burnley fan, and laughed when his mum told him of her party plan.

When Rovers lost their battle for Premiership survival in May, a mischievous well-wisher left a sympathy card on Jean's doorstep. But she was so incensed that she took the card into the back yard and set fire to it.

Jean said: "I've got faith in Rovers. I've booked the social club already because you have to book these places in advance. Some people are saying they will beat Sunderland's record of 104 points, and I'll second that!"

Jean is relishing the derby games with Bolton Wanderers and Manchester City and said: "I've got my season tickets for the Blackburn End already. I'm not worried that they haven't bought any new players yet - they don't need any. They just had a lot of injuries."
