LEICESTER boss Martin O'Neill was playing it cool today over his interest in Blackburn Rovers transfer-listed goalkeeper Tim Flowers.

O'Neill, just back from holiday, denied reports that there had been any contact between the two clubs and said he had not made a £1.5m bid.

At the same time, however, he did not dismiss suggestions that he was interested in the Rovers keeper and it would be no surprise if Leicester do make a move for Flowers who is desperate to play first team football.

Leicester are equally anxious to sign a replacement for their previous number one Casey Keller who has left Filbert Street at the end of his contract.

Provided Flowers is prepared to negotiate on personal terms - he is likely to be on a much higher salary at Ewood than Leicester can offer - there could be some movement soon. Rovers today said there had been no contact from Leicester.
