AIRCRAFT workers in Lancashire were celebrating after landing a £700 million order.
And British Aerospace - with plants at Samlesbury and Warton - could have got a further boost if it tendered for new maintenance work on RAF aircraft.
News of the bumper contract came in Defence Secretary Malcolm Rifkind's massive defence shake-up, announced in the House of Commons.
