FORMER golf steward Jeffrey Latham has putt his future in a new career!
And his business, JJ's Cafe Bar and Restaurant, is proving to be a real swinger.
Jeffrey set up his new restaurant venture at Albert Road, Colne, under the FirmBase business start-up programme run by ELTEC.
It employs eight staff including wife Janet and his daughter and sister-in-law.
"I did a lot of catering when I worked at Nelson Golf Club and I really enjoyed it," explained Jeffrey.
"I wanted to branch out and try something new so I decided to throw caution to the wind and set up my own restaurant."
The business received help from the Pendle Enterprise Trust to help prepare Jeffrey for his new career.
The FirmBase scheme has now helped more than 2,000 local enterprises get off the ground.
