POLICE are hunting two men who viciously attacked a 14-year-old boy before stealing his mountain bike worth £650.
The incident happened at around 10pm, on Wednesday, June 16, when the youngster was stopped by the men in Meadowfield, Fulwood.
One offender stood in the boy's path while the other pushed and held him to the ground before making off with his Vario bike, which had a polished silver square tubed frame, black forks, Mavic rims and a carbon fibre gear changer.
The first man is described as white, 19-20 years, 6ft 3ins, of medium build with blond spiky hair.
He was wearing a cream jacket, blue jeans and had his left arm in plaster.
The other offender is described as between 19-20 years, 5ft 9ins with short black hair combed forward.
He was wearing a blue Reebok or addidas jumper and black pin-striped trousers.
A purse containing bank and store cards with more than £40 cash was stolen from a receptionist at Brookfield Clinic on Croasdale Avenue, Ribbleton, at around 4.50pm on Tuesday, June 22.
Police say two youths went inside the clinic where one asked to use the toilets and distracted staff while the other went into the office and stole the purse.
Both youths were challenged but managed to escape.
The first offender is described as white, 15-16 years, 5ft 1ins, and small build.
He had a freckled face, dark ginger hair and was wearing a white Nike baseball cap, white sweatshirt and jeans.
The second boy was white, 16-17 years, very slim with protruding front teeth. He was wearing a dark top with a motif and dark tracksuit bottoms.
A group of eight boys netted three fishing knives from a couple of lads fishing on the riverbank opposite the Shawes Arms, on London Road, Preston, at around 3pm on Saturday, June 26.
One of the offenders had a large scar on the right side of his face and head.
A man walked into Scene Skatestore, in Friargate, Preston, and bagged a pair of navy blue chinos and escaped without paying.
He is described as coloured, 6ft tall, 24-28 years, stocky, with a small goatee beard and short black shaved hair.
He was wearing a brown Nike cap , a blue "T" shirt, blue jeans and an olive green fleece.
Goods worth around £1,300 were stolen from a house in Dalby Close, Fulwood, at around 4am on Wednesday, June 30.
An 18ct gold heart shaped locket with floral engraving, a Rotary gents watch engraved on the back and a silver ladies wrist watch with an orange face were taken in the haul.
The thief is described as a white male, 5ft 7ins, in his late teens. He was wearing a brown jumper and could have been wearing a scarf to hide his face.
An assortment of industrial goods were taken from a compound of industrial units at Atlas Foundry, on Brieryfield Road, Preston, at around 3.35pm on Wednesday, June 30.
As one offender distracted the manager the other went to an outbuilding and stole the goods before being disturbed.
Both men left in a black, X reg Triumph Acclaim. They are described as white and in their early 20's.
One man was wearing a beige jacket and jeans while the other wore a denim jacket and jeans.
An elderly disabled man was tricked out of £30 of his pension by a bogus caller at his home on Charles Cresent, Hoghton, between 10am and 5.20pm on Tuesday, June 22.
After making his excuses, he made off with the cash in a white Ford Escort-type van.
The crook is described as white, in his 40's, thick set, with silver grey, slightly wavy hair.
He was wearing dark clothing and was of a scruffy appearance. Police believe he has been in other houses in this area.
