THE final part in the trilogy of major televised eight-ball pool competitions starts tomorrow (July 16) with the staging of the Riley European Professional Championship at the Stakis Hotel, Blackpool.
Many of the game's leading stars will be on duty for what promises to be three days of top class pool action.
Poole's Mickey Wareham is back to defend his title in front of Sky TV cameras, but has his work cut out to lift the trophy again and collect a £2,500 first prize.
The semi-finals and final take place on Sunday, July 18.
The entry list includes Welshman Rob McKenna, the only man to win two world titles, and other former champions Kevin Wright, Daz Ward and Carl Morris.
Admission to all three days of the competition is free through advance tickets which can be obtained by contact Len Beddis on (01253) 290264.
