A MUSICAL interlude was on the timetable for guests who attended the opening of a new reception wing at Anchorsholme School.
Youngsters from both the infant and junior departments sang and played the recorder for Blackpool's education chief Dr David Sanders as well as Blackpool North and Fleetwood MP Joan Humble.
The event was to mark the completion of the new £135,000 building, part funded by the Government under its plan to reduce Key Stage 1 classes to a maximum of 30 pupils.
Also in attendance were the architect Alan Jones and a representative from the builders, Clement Dickens.
