INSTEAD of three lions on their shirt the England national team in this year's World Pool Tournament in Morecambe are proudly displaying the logo of your favourite weekly newspaper, The Citizen.
With an eye for real winners, the Citizen has decided to sponsor the national learning difficulties team, who are expected to put in a good show as they compete with teams from around the world.
Said organiser Alan Marshall: "The standard of pool in the learning difficulties section always amazes me and the England team are hotly tipped to win the title. I'd like to thank the Citizen for their generous support, the team are really proud of their new shirts."
