Water polo - Rotherham 10 - Lancaster 9
LANCASTER'S eight year dominance in the Northern League is in serious danger of ending following their second narrow defeat at the hands of a Yorkshire side.
Initially it was Lancaster who looked in total control as they went into the lead inside a minute courtesy of a goal from Burgess.
But the end of the first quarter, Rotherham had the psychological advantage when two Lancaster players, Chris Hartley and Colin Burgess, were both sent off - Hartley for disrespect to the referee and Burgess for retaliation.
The scores were still level with with fewer than 30 seconds remaining. But, sadly, the hard-working Baker was beaten by a close in shot which produced the winning goal for Rotherham.
