SPARTANS have have their sights firmly set on two trophies.
They reached the final of the St Helens Rounders League's Stanley Jones Cup with a 6-4 victory against Bobbies Lane.
And in the Emily Collins Cup they reached the final by defeating previously unbeaten Windle City.
Spartans needed to bat only once and took the game with a 15-13 scoreline. This is just reward for Spartans' Fred Crawford who has worked tirelessly for the team and the league itself for more than 20 years.
Also in the Emily Collins Cup, Grasshoppers went down to Sutton Cricket Club.
The league Race Night was a success with more than £250 being raised.
The committee would like to thank the following organisations for sponsoring a race each: Ruskin Leisure, GSB Signs, Town Tyres, Brown Edge, Lookers (St Helens), Bennett and Cunningham, and Esspee Fabrications. Thanks are also extended to DWL Race Night Promotions.
