THIS Saturday sees a break in the league programme for the first round of the Vaux Bitter Cup.

Both Lancaster and Morecambe - who played each other in a riveting derby match at the weekend - are away.

The away match will provide a welcome break for Lancaster who are now second from bottom in the league.

They have a tough match in the cup at Windsor Park against Chorley. It's especially tough as Chorley beat them in the league a fortnight ago by five wickets.

Morecambe travel to Sandy Lane to play Leyland Daf. With the home side beating St Annes last week this will provide a stern test.

However, Morecambe have greater depth in batting and bowling and should win.

The Lancaster tail tagged with Dave Jolleys run out on the last ball for 21 as the home side finished on 163-9. Peter Stephens bowled half the overs to take 3-64.
