A WAKE is to be held for drinkers who are mourning the 'death' of Mitchell's brewery in Lancaster. Following the announcement that brewing will cease in July the Lunesdale branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) will mark the occasion with a special memorial service. The ceremony will be a fitting farewell to the brewery whose share of the real ale market has shrunk dramatically in recent years.
The wake will be at The Bowerham Hotel, Lancaster at noon.
