A SUCCESSFUL summer fair has raised more than £967 for the local Blind Welfare Society.
Opened by the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Terry Evans, there were stalls, raffles, cakes, crafts and bring and buy.
During the summer fair the winners of the charity assault course were presented with their winning shield and the Independent Order of Forresters handed over a check for £200.
Said development worker, Tony Kimpton: "The money will help the society to purchase a fully accessible minibus which will be based at Morecambe Blind Centre and provide transport for the benefit of local blind people."
