FIRE officers with Eccleston Community Fire Station's Green Watch are inviting the public to an open day aimed at reducing the number of deaths and injuries caused by fire.
Visitors will get to meet the station's firefighters and see the equipment provided by the community to deal with emergencies. The aim of the day is to heighten awareness of what starts fires and the safety precautions people can take to ensure they don't start.
The open day will be held on Monday, September 20 from 2 to 4pm.
