AWAY from the horrors of Kosovo, a glimmer of hope for the country's future has arrived in Bury in the form of a newborn baby.
Leutrim Gashi was born on Saturday evening at Fairfield General Hospital. He joins a small band of babies born to refugees in the UK.
Parents Demush and Qefsere are overjoyed by the new arrival, their second child. They already have a daughter, Fatime (4).
Dad Demush said: "He's beautiful. I would have liked him to have been born in Kosovo but I don't believe he would have lived because the hospitals are run by Serbs."
Leutrim will not get British citizenship as his parents, and sister Fatime (4) are registered refugees.
As for the future, Demush is keen to have a third child while Qefsere joked: "No way!"
