HIGH flying Bury-based ductwork company Senior Hargreaves has clinched a £1.3 million contract for the new Bristol International Airport.
Hargreaves, located in Lord Street, will carry out ventilation services at the airport site.
The Bury company has extensive experience of airport work.
Previous contracts have included work at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted Airports and they are currently engaged in major works at Luton Airport.
The Bristol contract within the new £27 million passenger terminal includes the supply of ductwork for day to day ventilation, fire resistant ductwork for emergency protection and large capacity air handling units.
Senior Hargreaves are the lead space management contractor within the building services group, co-ordinating the work of several contractors to speed up the construction programme.
Architects for the project are YRM Architects and Planners of London.
Building services were designed by the Bristol office of Ove Arup and Partners and AMEC Construction is the principal contractor.
Completion is expected in February of next year.
