TWO men conned their into the home of 92-year-old woman and stole £200 in cash.
The men called at the pensioner's home in Dale View, Newton-le-Willows, between noon and 2pm on Thursday, July 8 and told her that her rear garden wall needed pointing. They offered to do the work for £15.
However, while carrying out the work, one of the men searched the house and the woman later discovered that £200 had been stolen.
One of the men is described as being in his 30s, 5ft 10in to 6ft tall with a slim build, short dark hair and a sallow complexion. He was wearing khaki-coloured or camouflage clothes. The second man was younger and was wearing dark clothes.
The men are believed to have driven to the house in a sky-blue coloured van - possibly a transit - which had a red roof rack and ladders on the top.
