NEW research has revealed Brits abroad still want home comforts while they are sunning themselves in the Med.

The survey by Helmshore-based tour operators Airtours showed East Lancs travellers put favourite food top of the list.

They are the most likely to stick to good old English food such as fish and chips and the famous fry-up.

Now Holland's Pies, of Baxenden, has introduced its famous pies and pasties to holiday resorts in Spain, Portugal, Greece, Crete and the Canary Islands.

Vans with Holland's logos have already been spotted in Spanish hotspots and pie fans regularly write from abroad to praise the products.

Former Bacup couple, Vera and Ron Beal, have retired to Crete and were delighted to find Holland's Pies at their local supermarket.
